Check a cruise ship map before you book your room. There are areas of the ship that might be better suited for you. For instance, if you are prone to sea sickness don’t book a room in the front of the ship. If you want a quiet relaxing evening, don’t book a room near any elevators. Late nighters are known to use the elevators and they are not usually very quiet.

They are sold as category 10 rooms. They are actually inside staterooms that do not have a window. Some of them have portholes, but the view is obstructed.

There are other less known secret rooms as well. These are the “Secret Verandah Rooms.” These rooms are labeled category 6, but sold on a category 7 rate. These rooms offer a private open air deck for your enjoyment. The view is slightly obstructed.
